Was Terrible...and terrifying. Had severe response to recent changes... another low grade fever, severe postural tachycardia, shortness of breath, skin rash, shaky, inability to change positions without an extreme influx of what felt like cranial pressure and ice pick pain to both my eyes. Diffuse facial pain, symmetrically. Sinuses, facial bones, suboccipital are of back of neck. Neck pain was radiating into my shoulders. Worsening of all rheumatic and neurologic symptoms. Tinnitus, photophobia and vertigo...off the charts. My doctor advised this was a normal vascular reaction to bacterial die-off in the initial stages of treatment.. Since bartonella infects the endothelial tissue. and recommended easing back on Bactrim and/or Banderol. That eased my mind...there was 36ish hours in there where I debated if I was having a stroke. The pressure in my head... I literally felt like a pug with bulging eye balls looks. Started trouble shooting, backed down on doses, ultimately discontinued Kudzu. Each day there after was significant improvement. Low grade fever today, which is expected. My fevers are cyclic, occurring every 6-8 days. These new symptoms started on 4/5, then acutely progressed the evening of 4/7.... now 4/13.... I am functional again but still so painful.
